1. Copy the body of the email into a test file using Notepad. Then use File > Import Hand Histories/Tournament Summaries to import it.

2. Auto-import is what you use to import hands from each Poker Site that save files to your computer while you play. You should be using this. Auto Request is an older method of getting the hands automatically sent to your email account.

You can just save the email as a text file into a directory instead of cutting and pasting to notepad. You can even wait and download a bunch of summaries in to one file and this will make life easier.

Depending on the email client he uses...he may not be able to do this if the summaries are sent to a web email program.

Notepad is a simple text editing tool in Windows. To run it use the Start button, Run... type Notepad and click OK.

Select the entire body of the email text and use Edit > Copy on the menu. Then go to Notepad and select Edit > Paste from the menu.

Thanks

I only have copy under edit ( I have windows xp ) so I just did copy/paste and it seemed to work. Is that ok?

Do I have to do them one at a time or can I paste multiple emails / or 1 email with multiple summaries (i know the summaries can become less complete the more u request , Ill see how many complete ones I can get with one request)?

Finally where should I save them and how should I name it : C:/ name of file?

That's fine. You can put multiple summaries in on file.

You can name the file whatever you want and put it in any folder you want. Just remember where you put it - you'll need to select the file to import it into PTO using File > Import Hand Histories/Tournament Summaries.

Thanks
A few more questions:

1. Should I store different limits of sngs summaries in different folders?

2. Should I wait till the sit and go is over so I have more complete data on opponents finishes?

3. I like to play 3-4 sngs at once what is the most efficient way to get the summaries imported
ex. I play 8 sngs in 2 hrs that end at different times , should I leave the tourneys open
until they are finished and request them all at once?

4. Does PTO still import hands from the tourney after I bust out , and can I import observed hands on
Poker Stars?

1. You don't have to. That is up to you and how organized you want to be.

2. Yes, but PokerStars may wait until it finishes anyway before sending it, but I may be wrong.

3. You should probably wait until they are all finished.

4. No, you can't get observed from PokerStars. Once you bust out that hand is the last hand they will create for you.
