Importing hands not working?

Postby AnimeA » Wed Apr 02, 2008 6:45 am

Hello!
I have a problem that I'm unable to solve.

When trying to import hands från Full Tilt I'm met with a message in the Status:

"Import Finished - 8 file(s) read - 0 new hands were imported.
The database you have choosen to import the observed hand histories into cold not be found"

As far as I know the database is named 20080324 and can be opened with "Maintain Poker Tracker Database Names" and is "dflt".

The file itself is located in "drive: /Dokument /Pokertracker database files / ptracko.mdb".

I'm currently using my local regional settings (swedish) but lets pokertracker always change my regional settings.

On the auto-import window, click the Observed hands tab and make sure the database you have selected there is the one where you want the observed hands to go and that it does still exist.

I found my problem!
Thanks to your suggestion I solved it.

This problem is rooted in two things.
I use a Swedish Windows Vista with an english language pack on it.
This does a few thing with my operatingsystem:

* It changes some ways that "documents" (old my documents in XP) i named in some places but not all. This is where I put my Handhistory and Database files.

In Pokertracker and Full Tilt where I designate where to put hands and import hands I use the "browse" function to navigate to my files. In the explorer window I choose "User name / documents / handhistory", but when I check the pathway in Autoimport or elsewhere it says: "User name / dokument / handhistory". Notice that "documents" has become "dokument" the swedish equivalent to documents. This lead to a bug that makes the programs unable to find the correct folder where the files are stored.

I now has moved all my files to the root directory of that same harddrive and now i works perfectly.
Thanks Mike really! :) It really didn't say the way to the database and the explanation was the same one as above. "d:/dokument but should be d:/documents which didn't exist.

So thank you for the lead that lead me to find the problem.
