Did you delete the PostgreSQL data folder before you reinstalled? Did you reinstall PostgreSQL in a different folder than where it was the first time? This error means it's not finding the old database so somehow it's either been deleted from your computer or you installed PostgreSQL somewhere else.

If you deleted the data folder it is. When did you backup the database last? Do you have the .backup file that was made by doing the last backup?

Also, what email did you use to purchase PT? I have no record of this one used for the forum.

You'll need to use the Restore section of the Utilities > PostgreSQL Database Functions window to restore from that last backup and then close and reopen PT once the restore is done (the DOS window closes).

ok i did. the database appears...

BUT

when I try to open the databasewith pgadmin III , a pop up appears:

" the server doesnt accept connections. the connection library reports

"could not connect to server: connection refused (0x...) Is the server running on host 127.0.0.1 and accepting TCP/Ip connections on port 5432"

....

I got the same problem, when I want to scan tables with spadeeye or eyepoker.

That error means the service is not running.

Go to the Start menu and select Settings > Control Panel > Admin. Tools > Services

Find PostgreSQL in the list. Right-click on it and select "Start" from the menu. What happens? Do you get any errors when you do this? If not, try running PT again.
