I'm having this problem too. I want to convert my old PT2 database to the postreSQL format so I can import it into PT3. When I went to the link provided by Realization, I cannot find the menu item called "Application Stack Builder" in the PostgreSQL start menu entry. So I'm still stumped about how to fill that blank spot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Dan

I'm also missing the "Application Stack Builder" and would like to setup PTHv2 to my PT3 PostgresSQL database. Is this possible?

Have you imported any hands into your PT3 database yet?

What email was used to purchase PT? I have no record of this one used for the forum.

No I haven't. I just downloaded the beta 10 version of PT3 and tried to do the database import when I realized my old DB was not in the PostgreSQL format. I also loaded the SQLite ODBC driver file I found in another post in this forum; it looked like a similar problem but it did not change anything.

Thanks for your help!

In case it helps somehow: I just played a few hands and imported them into PT3 to see if it did anything (and I lost $10 :x lol ). I see that PT3 is awesome, but I don't think it did anything to change the database settings to allow me to convert the old version.

I would suggest uninstalling PT and PostgeSQL using the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs window.

Then delete the remnants of the c:\program files\postgesql\8.3 folder.

Download this version of PostgreSQL:
http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/downloa ... .3.1-1.zip

Extract all the files out of the ZIP file into a separate folder.
Then double-click on the postgresql-8.3.msi file to install it.
The last part of the install is the Stack Builder application you can run.

Later, you can reinstall PT3 but when you do, you just need to do the install that doesn't include PostgreSQL because it's already installed.

Thanks so much! That version of PostgreSQL is allowing me to convert the old DB. It's processing my 272,207 opponents right now.... I've played way too many tournaments :D
