Postgresql restoration after system crash

Postby JeyBurns » Sun Apr 27, 2008 8:32 pm

Hi there,

recently, my whole windows xp system crashed and I was unable to fix the bootsequence. After backing up all my data (including copies of both Pokertracker and Postgresql and all other folders) i installed a fresh XP system.

Is it possible to restore my existing postgresql databases in pokertracker?

I tried it simply by copy & paste, but this didn´t result in what I hoped for. When I open Pokertracker, I can´t select any existing postgresql databases.

Thanks for your help in advance

Did you reinstall PostgreSQL? If all you have is the data files from the PostgreSQL folder then you are going to have t try recovering the data using the information from this old forum post, it's not just a simple matter of copying files.
