As I posted above:

Tried to export and this ERROR appeared:

Select error: SQLSTATE = 25p02
ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block; Error while executing the query

Do you save your processed hand history files then? If not then you aren't going to be able to recover the hands played since the last backup. If you have, then reimport those after you restore.

I tried to restore from the backup file. It looks like the restore went ok. Then I starting getting several errors. Closed PT and started up again. Now I am getting this Error:

Error updating the VERSION_INFO table

7 – SQLSTATE = 25P02
ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block; Error while executing the query.

Next screen tells me that DB has to do something, when I click ok I get the same error as above.

I am willing to give up at this point. What do I need to do? Reinstall Postg? Delete the database? Reinstall PT?

Thanks for your help

Use the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs window to uninstall PostgreSQL.
Then delete the remnants of the c:\program files\postgresql\8.2 folder.

Go to the Start menu and select Run. Type COMMAND into the window that opens and hit OK to open a DOS window.
Type:

net user postgres /delete

and hit ENTER. Then type EXIT to close the DOS window.

Then reinstall PostgreSQL as detailed here
