Opening new database

Postby JFsports » Mon May 26, 2008 2:36 pm

Hi

I want to add a PT database (Access, not Postgre) onto a different computer, so I copied the mdb file.

I went to File > Maintain Database Names > Add, and then under DB file I selected the file I'd copied. When I try to open the database, I get the following error messages

Error retrieving from the VERSION_INFO table.

Error updating the VERSION_INFO table.

Error adding new fields 'total_addons' and 'addon_amt' to the TOURNEY_SUMMARY table.

Error updating records in TOURNEY_SUMMARY table.

Can someone help please?

Thanks

Usually this means the database file is corrupted. Was there more text to these error messages than what you have given here?

It sounds like you didn't select the right file. On the File > Maintain Database Names window, what is the value in the last field for this entry to added...what is the full folder/file name shown there?

It's C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\Desktop\hhdb.mdb

That is the hand history database. The database you would want to use would start with "ptrack". What files did you copy did you copy to this computer?
