Hi,

All of a sudden I went to run Poker Tracker and got the following error message:

unable to connect to database.

101 - SQLSTATE = 08001
could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061)

Is the server running on host "local/host" and accepting
TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

Yes, I'm running Vista :x

In the meantime, I have no Poker Tracker. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Did you try restarting the computer?

If it still doesn't work, go to the Start menu and select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services

Find PostgreSQL 8.2.... in the list. Does it say it's started? If not, try to start it. What happens, does it give an error?

Thank you Pat. A Dell rep was helping me earlier and had disabled all non-Microsoft services. I just turned PostgreSQL 8.2 bad on and now it works fine.
