Damaged database

When I loaded up poker tracker this morning, I received an error message that said my database needs to be repaired. It was working fine last night. How might this have happened and how can I fix it?

With Poker Tracker closed, try repairing the database following the steps listed here:

Thanks for the reply. I had previously tried to repair the database with ptracker closed but was unable to do so. However, with ptracker open I was able to repair it on my third try (no idea why it worked the third time)
