Yes, I have been installing it to that folder and it says it has updated but I still have v g.

It is not possible that you are installing the patch into the same folder that you are running the EXE from or it would not be the old version.

Search your hard drive looking for the file

ptrack2.exe

How many does it find? List the file size and the date/time on the file.

Then search the external hard drive for the same file.

You do not have that patch if you still get this error. Does the version number say 2.17.01i in the title bar of the PT window?

Open the Error Log window and click the Export button. Copy/paste the text of the first couple of errors into a reply.

Also, what is the size of the GameHistory.dat file that you have PT set to read from?

Open the Utilities > Error Log Display/Maintenance window.
Click the Export button.
It will open a Notepad window.
Copy the first couple of errors from this file and paste it into a reply to this thread.
